i didnt grab waterslide pictures from my mom... so its a bit late! but we went to the waterslides/wave pool in calgary during christmas holidays with the whole family. it was so much fun! i didnt do much sliding but it was nice to just relax in the hot tub and see all the nieces and nephews having a blast!

christmas was crazy, hectic, overwhelming, fun, and awesome! everyone was home except my brother in law geoff. there were 15 people in our house. it was a blast though! we went ice skating, it was the kids first time, and alot of us havent been since highschool. but we had alot of fun.
then we had a pig supper. we used to do these as kids and loved it. the grandkids had a blast!
christmas eve we had my dads family over as usual. we just ate finger foods and chatted. then santa came to bring us our christmas pjs. he even got some for lyla and mae. it was so fun to set up christmas eve night with all the presents and stockings. we got up at 5:30 and opened presents till 7:00am. then we got ready for church. we continued to open presents after church. there were tons this year!

so ive been looking back on all my pictures from project 365.. i miss doing that! even though it was a pain in the butt to remember to take a picture everyday, its so cool to look back and remember everything day by day... maybe ill start it up again in january. we'll see! but for now, our cute girls :)

Flames Game

When we got home from the hospital yesterday there was a slip under the door letting us know there were 4 tickets to the flames game tonight. so i texted dad and told him. well he was here within 2 hours. so we spent the night with my papa going to the flames game. it was alot of fun! and the flames won :) it was a really good game. 2 scores in the last minute against us. it was intense. we got up to leave and by the time we got out into the hallway they had scored twice already. but we still won 7-6. we took the c-train from near the ronald mcdonald house to the saddledome. there was an accident so the train was delayed so we missed a bit of the first period. but thats ok, we had a great night with dad!

since the girls are in the nicu at foothills hospital, we are privilege to stay at the ronald mcdonald house. it is such a nice program. we are so grateful for it. how it works, we pay 12 dollars a night and they usually have lunches and dinners made for us. we have our own fridge for food, and they have a huge kitchen for cooking it. its a bit strict on the rules, but thats because they need it to be bacteria free for the families with people in the hospitals. we arent allowed food or drinks in our room, only in the dining area.
so if your ever at mcdonalds, donate to the ronald mcdonald house. its seriously for a good cause. i dont know where we would be staying without spending tons of money. here are a few pictures of the house, and a few of us while we've been here

we had our 3d ultrasound today. and it was sooo cool. so worth the money. i love sitting there and watching everything that was going on. and seein all the little features of our little girls.
here are a few pictures from the ultrasound. they arent that great of quality. it was hard to get good pictures in 3d because they were so squished in there. twin a was sprawled out and twin b was curled in a ball sitting on twin a's head

i know, ive really been slacking at this blog thing. i think i update my pregnancy blog more then this blog. because theres nothing going on in our lives besides the pregnancy

im still working at reddi mart. hoping to for as long as i can, make some money while brent cant work in canada. he just hangs around the house. helps mom out with little projects. i think hes getting a little bored but what can ya do.

the babies are growing and moving like crazy. they are now 1 lb each and the size of spaghetti squash.

i just cant wait till we find out the genders. ive had many dreams and they were boys and some where they were girls. so who knows! im still leaning towards boys. but we'll find out on friday!

21 weeks

idaho/ utah trip

since we still have all our storage in rexburg, we decided to take a trip and get stuff out. mainly winter clothes since we dont have any. We headed to rexburg friday morning and went through our unit and took everything out and thought we had everything. we later realized we forgot our winter coats so had to go through it all over again.
we spent friday night at our friends kayla and thomas. it was awesome to see them again, felt like we never left other then the boys are HUGE! i should have taken pictures but of course i didnt. blah!
saturday morning we headed to utah to visit claire and hannahs fam. we met up for panda express, then hung out and hannahs and played games. it was soo good to be with friends that i havent seen for awhile, and prob wont till way after the babies are born.
sunday we went to brit and devins house for a few hours and then headed back to rexburg. we had planned on coming home monday morning but realized we still had tons of errands to do monday. so we didnt head home till tuesday morning
it was nice to get away for a weekend. i realized i miss rexburg and would love to move back. but i doubt thats gonna happen....

on another note.. .we find out the genders of the babies september 30!! wahoo :)

ok mommies out there..... this might be personal or not.. but its been crossing my mind since i got pregnant. and i know i still have about 4 months to go. but what are your thoughts on c sections, and natural births... i cant decide what i want to do.... i wanna hear all your ideas/suggestions/reasonings before i truly decide.... ive never done this so i need help!

we had another ultrasound yesterday. we were hoping we would find out the genders... but no such luck. i guess it was still a bit early to tell. so we have to wait 4 weeks to our next ultrasound.... here goes a month of waiting :)

we had our family reunion this year july 29-aug 1. we went to tally lake montana. it was such a fun weekend. i didnt get to do much of the activities but it was nice to visit with family, sit around the fire, and hold babies :)

we spent the afternoon in waterton yesterday. waterton is one of my favorite places to go. i have so many memories there of working, sitting on the docks, getting icecream, hiking... and i was so excited to share the experience with brent. unfortunately it was pretty cold and windy so we didnt get to do much. but we did go to weiners of waterton, cameron falls, hit up some shops, and walked around the town. he also got to feel how cold waterton lakes actually is! i sure hope he enjoyed it cause i sure did :)

i finally bought some maternity clothes. all my pants were super tight. so i went shopping!

babies are now the size of large plums! which oddly seems smaller than limes. but maybe not! haha

1 more week, and im done the 1st trimester which means 1/3 of the way done :)

it sure has gone by quickly, at least to me.

i havent blogged in a long time! thats because i went to north carolina for a week. so i have alot to update on... first i will start with my project 365 pictures.

may 21. this is what the humidity does to my glasses...all foggy!

this is THE coolest site ever. brent told me about it a few months ago but my friend amber just did a blog post about it, so i thought id try it out

if you havent heard of pinterest it is a place where you can pin all of your interests... into different categories (which i love!)

i have bookmarked hundreds of crafts, ideas, inspirations on my computer. but they are just scattered everywhere and hard to find. this website solves that problem completely!

its so easy too, all you have to do is add a little bookmark onto your bookmark bar that says "pin it" and then whenever you find something you like you push that button, save the picture and voila! it automatically goes to your board.

i also like how you can "repin" other peoples pins from their boards and follow friends boards so you can get even more information!

we went to panda express for lunch yesterday. stephs first time. then we hungout at the house and went to studio movie grille in plano.. note to self, make the 40 min drive to colleyville, there dine in theater is way better! this one smelt so bad, luckily someone sprayed there perfume like crazy so it smelt better. it was way more money and the food was expensive. we got a small basket of popcorn for 4.00 and it wasnt even refills! colleyville you get a large bucket for 4 bucks and its refills. so colleyville cinema and grille wins. steph goes to north carolina tomorrow morning. boo! at least ill be there on monday

may 18. we ate at the rainforest cafe today

we headed to grapevine mills mall at 10am but of course our trusty gps got us lost, after 20 mins we finally found it. that mall is huge. we met up with brents mom and sister in law and kids for lunch at the rainforest cafe. we came home and went to the pool but it was cloudy and windy, so we didnt stay long.

are GENIOUS! whoever thought of them was a thinker. it was so so cool! dine in=movie while eating. you sit at a table and they come take your order, then theres a button you hit if you need anything anytime in the movie. uh yes please! cheese fries and popcorn. so yummy. and the tickets for movies are like 6.00 only! and then the food is so reasonably priced is not funny. i loved it. here are some pictures (phone pictures) so kinda crappy, but you hopefully get the point!

april 29. this is my excitement for the day. checking the mail!

today has been another slow did. got up and watched the dr's while brent went to his training meeting. then i went for a 3.8 mile run/walk. it felt great but sooo tiring. im really sore now, dont know if its from the run or the workout class last night. either way, it hurts! so ive been watching movies all day waiting for brent to get home.

this my friends, is my new bestfriend. i discovered it this morning when trying to find an app that would record how far i ran. there are a few trails in our apt complex but i like to know how far i run. so let me tell you a little about cardio trainer.
Cardio trainer is a FREE app that uses GPS to who your real-time position on a map, and also saves the exact route. it can calculate your speed, distance, time, and calories burned for running, biking, hiking, skiing, or just about any outdoor activity you can imagine. isnt that amazing! so ill be spending alot of time this summer with cardio trainer. and just so you all know i ran 1.8 miles today without stopping, i know thats prob not alot to you guys. but man it felt good!

ps. you also put in your weight and goal weight and when you want to reach your goal and it will calculate how many calories you have to burn a week. genious!

april 26. heres to a summer of hardcore working out and losing 20 lbs!

today was a great day. i spent the day out with sharon, alison and the boys. i meant to get at least one picture but sure didnt. but we went out to eat at taco bell/pizza hut and then walked around target and $1 jewlery store. then we went to the show gnomeo and juliet. still really good! oh and it was .75 cent tuesday. i bet ya to beat that!

april 25. what are those you ask? those are many resumes.

and this is what i did all day, applied for jobs!

along with 2 hrs of grocery shopping and getting discounts on movie tickets. 6 movie tickets for 13 dollars! thats bout all we did today, and watch 3 movies to catch up for yesterday that we missed :)

april 24. we made these yummy treats for easter!

we spent the day at rich and alisons house (brents brother) we had lunch, played games, and visitied. there were tons of storm/tornado warnings in the area, but we just got a thunderstorm!

today we dyed easter eggs :) we couldnt quite get the food coloring to be the color we wanted, but it worked out in the end! funny thing, we had to call and ask my mom how to boil eggs. you would think its a no brainer, but obviously not!

so ive decided to cross something off my bucket list this summer.
#19-watch all of our movies from a-z.
we own 232 movies. so i figured if i watch 2 a day, ill be done by the end of the summer with no problem!
so heres to a summer full of movies :)

april 20. today was my first and last day of selling pest control.

its just too much for me, i have much greater respect for brent

and those that do it. they are my heros, cause theres no way i could

do it. so for now, im applying for jobs around us. there are tons of

places nearby. so wish me luck!

brents grandpa broadhead passed away on saturday. i didnt know him for very long but i know that he was loved very much by everyone. he grew up in cardston actually, which is really cool! we got to see him a week before his passing. unfortunately we wont be able to make the funeral since we are in texas but here is his obituary for anyone thats interested.

Lyndon Theodore Broadhead 1922 ~ 2011

Lyndon Theodore Broadhead, 88, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away April 16, 2011 in St. George, Utah. He was born October 17, 1922 in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. He was raised in Beazer, Alberta, Canada and married Ardath Ainscough June 4, 1942 in the Cardston Alberta Temple. He farmed and ranched in Beazer with his dad and then worked as an auto mechanic in Salt Lake City for several years before starting his own auto repair business in Granger, known as Broadhead Automotive, for 31 years. His love for music started in Canada as he played in an orchestra with his uncle and cousins. He also had a small orchestra in Salt Lake City from 1954 to 1963 and sang in ward choirs and was chorister in several wards. He loved to sing with his sons! He and Ardath served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Baton Rouge Louisiana Mission from 1987 to 1988. He was a High Priest in the Knolls Ward in St. George Utah and served in many church positions throughout his life. He is survived by Ardath, his loving wife of almost 69 years; sons: Brian (Linda), Donald (Kathy), Wayne (Mary Lou), Gordon (Jane Christine "Becky"), Kent (Sharon), Gary (Lorna), Paul (Darla); brothers: Dennis (LaVonne), Raymond (Fran); 29 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by infant son, David; grandsons: Jay and David; parents, Jesse and Elfrieda; sister, Zalia Wilde; brother, Dean Morris. Funeral services will held Saturday, April 23, 2011, 11 a.m. at the Centennial Park Ward, 3372 S. 5275 W., West Valley City. Viewings will be held Friday, April 22, 2011, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT and Saturday at the church 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.

april 18. our new apt. it is def a step up from the one in rexburg.

our whole living/kitchen area is probably as big as our on in rexburg.

we have 2 walk in closets. and a huge tub that is jetted! love it!

and boy do i feel old! jokes, not really. today we spent the day at brents grandmother and papas house. we had brents aunt and cousins over along with his sister and mom. it was a fun day! we had cake, and then went horseback riding and some of his sisters friends house. a perfect birthday :) we forgot a camera so these are taken on brents phone, so sorry for the bad quality

april 16. i made this balloon, i was quite proud of myself.

today we went to our niece kaylees birthday party. it was alot of fun, friends and family. bounce house, cake, and food. got a bit of sun too, it was pretty hot, but according to texans it wasnt even that hot. so im gonna die this summer!!

april 14. we went to the new mexico temple (it was really windy) then headed to trophy club texas to stay the night with brents brother. we finally made it to texas!

we got up monday morning and headed to vegas to spend the day with aunt donna. we got there and went to cafe rio and shopped at target and walmart and world market (love this store!) until sharon, craig, and cyndi met up with us.

then we hit the strip! we went to the belagio gardens, which was so cool!

we ate at serendipity for dinner. it was a cool little restaurant. and it was yummy, and soo filling! they had huge portions. it is serendipty 3. after serendipity in new york that the show was filmed in. they are famous for there frozen hot chocolate.

after dinner we hit up the strip! we took pictures at the las vegas sign and then went to the "old strip" and watched the lazer show on freemont blvd.. it was so cool! it was like a flea market the whole street had vendors, street musicians, stores, and tons of music. a great place to be if you were drunk! well of course all of vegas is! after the old strip we went to MGM and hit up the slots! by this time it was 12:00am and i was TIRED. but i had to pull a few slots before i left vegas. i put in 5 bucks and got 24! woot woot. we finally finished the strip at 2:30am and headed back to donnas... i was sooo tired!

we got a new baby! we would like to introduce to you the latest addition to our family. weighing in at 3525 lbs and 150 " long. he was born in japan and adopted into our family april 11, 2011. we would like to welcome jeeves into the broadhead family! we love him with all our heart!

april 10. we made a pit stop to costco and got yummy

everything was closed on sunday of course, but we walked around car lots and looked at cars and compared prices. we found 3 that we want to go back and look at and test drive. a ford escape, vw jetta, and toyota camry. lets see what tomorrow brings!
